In this game, you’ll put your basketball knowledge to the test by guessing the name of NBA players and deciphering who the mystery player is based on the data provided.

Simply enter the name of the player, and the app will reveal their team, conference, division, position, height, age, and jersey number. It’s that easy!

How To Play “Guess The NBA Player” 

Alright, so here’s the gist of it.

Start the game by guessing a random NBA player, or use the “Show Silhouette” button to display a silhouette of the mystery NBA player you are attempting to guess.

Once you enter your first guess, the game will display a bunch of information about the player (height, age, team, etc.), which is meant to help guide your guesses as you continue on.

Continue guessing until you either get it right or run out of guesses.

You have 8 guesses and it could be literally ANY random player on a current NBA roster.

One quick note, recently traded players may display their old team as the “current team” until we get a chance to update the data on the back end.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown of the game and how to play:

• Click the link at the top of this post, or click the “Player Guessing Game” button on the top right of our homepage. You will be redirected to a dedicated site for the game where we have disabled ads in order to provide the best user experience.

• Press Show Silhouette. This will give you the silhouette of the NBA player you are attempting to guess.

• Type the name of your first guess and enter your answer. You will then be presented with a row of the player’s data that includes their team, conference, division, height, position, age, and jersey number.

• Continue guessing until you answer correctly, or run out of guesses

• If your guess is correct, the app will reveal the player’s name and you’ll receive a pop-up box displaying the correct answer you just gave.

• To keep playing, just refresh the page and a new “mystery” player will generate!

As this is a newer project and we have (very) limited coding experience, you may find a few bugs or data mistakes as you play the game.

All we ask is that you please bare with us as we roll this out. We will address any issues you may find as soon as we’re made aware of them.

“Guess The NBA Player” will only continue to improve from this point on.
